Are You a PC or an Apple?

OK, I know that most of you are PC users, so you won't appreciate these ads. For one who used to be a mac user, then became a pc user, then became a mac user.... I can testify that these ads aint far from the truth.

I am not a big fan of those commericals. If you are a graphic designer or something like that, totally understand why an apple is better...but other than that, PC's are TONS better and easier to use.

What is easier about viruses, constantly having to restart, etc?

My main issue is that the mac platform OS10 is just way more stable and easier to use in general. What keeps PC's ahead of the market is one thing... they are cheaper.... and as we know, cheaper seldom means better.

I have yet to find hardware that I couldn't get to "talk" to my PC!

Price has nothing to do with making PC's better. What makes it better is the fact that the technology is "public", meaning that multiple companies other than Intel, AMD, etc can develop technologies for pc's. Competition is a GOOD thing! Apple has kept it's technology for the most part "private."

Now, before you all go busting on me being anti-Apple, hold your horses. I have owned 3 or 4 different iPods in the last 2-3 years & i LOVE them!!!! It does drive my wife crazy that I always have to upgrade!

OK, good point George. The "public" nature of PC's is certainly the biggest difference. The technically gifted person probably has no problem with either PC or mac, because most problems or connectivity issues are surmountable.... but for the average person I am not sure this is the case.

I honestly am not very passionate about this issue. The sweet thing I have really loved about my macs lately is the powerful intgration of media with (imovie,itunes,idvd,iphoto,imovie,etc...)

It is funny how mac people make macs sound indestructable. I've actually had a few things fail on mac laptops lately that needed service. Granted, I am so hard on stuff, that I could find a way to break anything. On the other hand, I've never had a virus since getting a mac.... ok enough said.

I've never caught a virus either, EVER.....on a PC. Common sense is just the best virus protection out there.

( now watch me catch one :) )

Oh, and like you, Scott, I love iTunes. I used to use MusicMatch, but Apple CAN just do some things better!
