On April 21st and 22nd we have the distinct privilege of having Sir Brian Mawhinney speak in our services at Parkview Church. Mawhinney was a long time member of British Parliament who retired from his seat in 2005. He is presently the chairman of the Football League which is the professional football (meaning soccer) league in Wales and England.Mawhinney actually attended Parkview (as the Coralville E-Free) back when he was doing post-doctoral studies at the University of Iowa. He is known in England as a man who takes his faith very seriously. Undoubtedly, he will be a fascinating guest.
